Subject: Camp is almost here!

Greetings Parents,

I hope this email finds you and your family well. Your child/children are registered with the Town of Portsmouth Best of Both Camp. We are very excited to have them camp with us!

We have finalized our camp plan. As a result of state regulations and guidelines, and limited space, we have placed groups of 13 campers and 2 staff in pods or “households.” Campers will remain in their household throughout the summer. Glen Park has a pavilion and we have 2 tents being placed before camp starts.

The safety and health of our campers and staff is always the highest priority. The Town of Portsmouth Camps will follow every applicable state regulation, as well as the American Camp Association Best practices.

Please see State of RI Camp guidelines for Phase 2:

Also, please visit:
Field Guide for Camps on Implementation of CDC Guidance

Location and times:

Camp will be hosted 4 days a week at Glen Park, each pod will report to the beach once a week.

  • Pod 1 will report to the beach on Monday
  • Pod 2 on Tuesday
  • Pod 3 on Wednesday

Thursday and Friday will be for rain days if a Pod missed a beach day

Rain days we be hosted at Melville school in 3 separate areas. I will communicate via email to parents the night before, no later than 8:00pm

Camp starts at 7:30am and ends at 4:30 with extended day until 5pm.

There is an extra charge for extended day.

More to come!

Warm Regards,

In a world where you can be anything…be kind.
