Preservation Committee
David Gleason, Chairman Lower Glen Farm Preservation Committee, expressed the Committee’s concerns regarding the funding needed to preserve the Lower Glen Farm.
There are deficiencies in the fire alarm systems, electrical, septic, gutters and erosion control. The Committee believes the priorities should be money for the farm first, then the Brown House. The septic system needs to be done first, followed by the fire alarm and electrical work.
Mr. Driscoll said that the electrical should be done by summer with $185,000.00 estimated for electrical and fire alarm work and $30,000.00 for septic work to be done by DPW.
TIME: 6:53 p.m. – Mr. Canario arrived.
Mr. Driscoll suggested the Council wait six months until the Budget is worked out before making any further decisions on funding.
TIME: 6:55 p.m.
The Town Council took a five minute break before beginning the regular Council meeting.
