RECYCLING BINS

 The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation will no longer provide free recycling bins to the residents of the State.  Due to the popularity of the recycling bin program the Town of Portsmouth will continue to distribute recycling bins to qualified residents at a cost of $8 for green bins and $7 for blue bins.  To obtain a recycling bin you must have a valid Transfer Station access sticker.

      Recycling bins are available in the Town Hall at the Tax Collector's office.  No more than 2 recycling bins per household.

 Recycling bins are provided as a convenience.  Their use is not mandatory in connection with delivering recyclable material to the Transfer Station.

 Please recycle.  It saves your money and your planet, and is required by law.

 Please flatten cardboard boxes.  This conserves space in the paper recycling containers which minimizes transportation expenses.
