From the Providence Area Going North on I-95: Take I-195 E. Merge onto 24 S via exit number 8A toward TIVERTON R.I./NEWPORT R.I.. Follow Rte. 24 and take exit number 1 toward RI-138/MIDDLETOWN/NEWPORT BEACHES. Bear right at the end of the exit onto Turnpike Avenue. At the next set of lights bear right onto RI-138/EAST MAIN ROAD. Portsmouth Town Hall is located approximately .7 miles on the right hand side of the road, at the intersection of East Main Road and Middle Road.
From the Providence Area Going South on I-95: Stay on I-95 S past the Green Airport exit. After some time, you will bear left onto Rte. 4. Follow Rte. 4, bear right onto Rte. 4/1 and take the Rte. 138 NEWPORT exit. Follow Rte. 138 over the Jamestown Bridge and the Pell (Newport) Bridge (toll road). Stay left to stay on ramp RI-138/RI-114/FALL RIVER/CAPE COD. At the end of the exit keep to your left and the traffic signal. You will be facing Newport Grande. Go left onto SR-138. At the second traffic signal turn left onto West Main Road (SR-114). Follow West Main Road for approximately 6 miles. Go right at the traffic light for the intersection of West Main Road and Hedly Street. Follow Hedly Street until you come to the first stop sign. Portsmouth Town Hall is across the street to your right.
